  • Choose a pickup location near you.
  • Select the electric bike that suits you best.
  • Select the period in which you want to try the e-bike.
  • Pick up the e-bike on the agreed-upon date at the chosen pickup point.

Can I participate for free?

Yes, the promotion is completely free.

Why are you doing this trial promotion?

We all want to keep the Brainport region accessible. However, this requires a smart choice from all of us: the car needs to make way for the bike (sometimes). Specifically, this means that you can try out an e-bike for a week to cycle to work. In addition to contributing to accessibility, it is also very healthy, good for the environment, and saves on fuel costs.

What does this trial promotion involve?

Commuters who use a car as a means of transportation for their daily commute can test an e-bike for a week. The e-bike is a good and realistic alternative if you live up to 15 to 20 kilometers away from work.

How long does the promotion run for?

The promotion runs until December 31st, 2023.

Can I participate multiple times?

No, it is not possible to participate more than once. This way, we give as many residents as possible the opportunity to try an e-bike to commute to work.

What should I do after making a reservation?

After making a reservation, you will receive a confirmation with information on where and when to pick up your e-bike. Your reservation number will also be included in the confirmation. Make sure to have this number with you when you go to pick up the bike.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Yes, that is possible. The confirmation email contains a link to cancel your reservation. Alternatively, you can contact the support desk of De Boom en het Meer:
support@deboomenhetmeer.nl or 085 8769024.

Can I pick up the bike on a different day than stated in the confirmation?

No, unfortunately, that is not possible. We work with fixed drop-off and pick-up days on which we reserve time to check the bikes. This way we ensure that the next user gets an e-bike in top condition.

I have bad luck on the way. What should I do?

If you encounter any issues while using the e-bike, don’t worry, De Boom en het Meer has a breakdown service available. They will pick you up and take you to your destination. Call 085 – 8769024 to speak to someone from the support desk immediately. Outside of office hours, you can contact ENRA Alarmservice directly as they provide breakdown service for De Boom en het Meer. In that case, call 088 8778044. ENRA may ask for a policy number/insurance number, which can be found in the confirmation email.

What if the e-bike breaks down, gets stolen, or if I encounter other problems with the e-bike?

If there is something wrong with the e-bike during the trial week, you should contact the pick-up location or the support desk of De Boom en het Meer. Call 085 8769024 to speak directly with someone from the support desk or support@deboomenhetmeer.nl

If your e-bike cannot be repaired, De Boom en het Meer will arrange a replacement e-bike within 24 hours.

What can I, as an employer, do to encourage my employees to cycle more?

We have special in-house e-bike trial pools for employers. With the accompanying communication material, you inform employees about the promotion and give them the opportunity to try an e-bike for one week. In addition, you can make cycling more attractive with a lease scheme or special travel allowance for people who come by bicycle. View the possibilities for employers and inquire about the possibilities with a mobility broker.

What does Brainport Bereikbaar do?

We facilitate and encourage mobility solutions which are better, faster, cleaner and healthier than the current options. We do not make promises for the future but put results on the street today. We cannot do that alone. We involve commuters, employers, educational institutes and the logistic branch. We work together with and are commissioned by the 21 municipalities in Southeast Brabant and SmartwayZ.NL.

Can we also participate in other Brainport Bereikbaar campaigns?

The e-bike try-out campaign is one of the first campaigns we are rolling out in the region in the coming time. There will certainly more campaigns. You can register via www.brainportbereikbaar.nl for the monthly updates. That way, you will be kept up to date about the latest campaigns.

What about privacy?

To take part in the E-Bike Try-Out Campaign, de Boom en het Meer requests and collects your personal details. These details are required to reserve the e-bike, to provide good services and monitoring. Read De Boom en het Meer’s privacy statement here. Your details will not be used for any other purpose.

Brainport Bereikbaar has no access to your details. We only receive the completely anonymised data to monitor and evaluate the try-out campaign. In the questionnaire after the try-out campaign we will ask you whether you are willing to take part in a follow-up survey from Brainport Bereikbaar. Should you grant your permission, we will receive your email address, and an employee from Brainport Bereikbaar will contact you about this.
