National Climate Cycling Day 2026

On Saturday, September 19, 2026, the Netherlands will once again transform into one large cycling movement for the climate. During National Climate Cycling Day, you will discover sustainable initiatives, innovative energy projects, and places where people are actively working towards a fossil-free future.

Starting from the historic Steentjeskerk in Eindhoven, Velosoof is organizing a special road ride for road cyclists. The highlight of the route is an exclusive tour of the DAF Trucks grounds. A unique opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at a location normally inaccessible to cyclists.

This ride is intended for everyone with a road bike. Wearing a bicycle helmet is mandatory.

Unique behind-the-scenes look at DAF Trucks

It has been arranged with DAF Trucks that the group will be granted access to the grounds at 09:30 for an exclusive tour. To meet this appointment, we will depart promptly at 09:15 from the Steentjeskerk. Therefore, please ensure you arrive well in time. After the visit to DAF, we will continue the route together with the Velosoof peloton.

• Bring a valid form of identification for the access control on the DAF premises.
  • Modified speed limits apply on the DAF premises.
  • Wearing a bicycle helmet is mandatory.
