Travel smart, fast and sustainably to Eindhoven during the holidays

Lights, pleasant smells, smiling people. The festive season brings extra atmosphere to Eindhoven's city center. But also extra crowds. With the Open Eindhoven autumn campaign, we're helping visitors reach the city smartly, quickly, and sustainably. Senna Heijnen of Brainport Bereikbaar: "The autumn campaign offers fun activities and shows that smart choices often simply mean a more pleasant journey. Anyone who wants to participate is welcome!"‘

Traveling to the city center during the holidays? Try something new! Because traveling via P+R, bus, or train often proves surprisingly relaxing and efficient. "That, in a nutshell, is the message of this autumn campaign," says Senna Heijnen. "We want to give visitors a pleasant travel experience and improve the accessibility of the city center."‘

Promotions and extra attention during the festive season

The campaign launched on Friday, November 28th. Senna: "It's a striking campaign with fun, accessible activities. We're organizing these activities together with NS (Dutch Railways), Hermes, and P+R Genneper Parken. There's also extra attention to the closure of Leenderweg, which is causing increased traffic in the south of the city. The goal of the campaign is, of course, to raise awareness among visitors about choosing sustainable and smart travel options. Especially during this period, with increased traffic due to the holidays, we're noticing that visitors are curious about other options. They often immediately discover how easy it actually is. We hope this will encourage people to choose alternative transportation at other times as well. That will also help reduce congestion on the streets at other times."‘
