Airpark-Budel can now also be reached by public transport
Published on August 25, 2023From August 28, bus line 166 will run twice a day between Maarheeze Station and Airpark-Budel. As a result, the business park is now also accessible by public transport.
Airpark-Budel is a growing business park that is happy to welcome (future) students and employees. You can easily get there by car and bicycle. 'But accessibility by public transport was limited. Bus line 166 improves this by running twice a day between Maarheeze Station and the business park,' says Marc Kemink of Brainport Bereikbaar. 'A solution for the much-needed interns/graduates and new employees and certainly also for commuters from Eindhoven, Weert and beyond. They can get to work faster with bus line 166 than by car. There are also shared bicycles available for those who need to travel a little further into the business park. They catch the eye: we have specially placed our pop-up there.'
Excellent connection to the train
The initiators therefore hope that many travelers will use bus line 166. Joost Ploos van Amstel, chairman of Ondernemerscontact Cranendonck, confirms: 'This line is an initiative of OCC, Hermes, Brainport Bereikbaar, and the Municipality of Cranendonck. Together, we are working on various solutions to make and keep Airpark-Budel more accessible. With bus line 166, we are taking a significant step. In the morning and evening, the bus line connects perfectly with the sprinters from Eindhoven and Weert. Moreover, employees can take advantage of a trial offer provided by these four parties.'‘
