First test drives with the BusinessLines

Published on October 4, 2022

BusinessLines are comfortable buses that travel to the business parks with fewer stops. Ideal for professionals! The first test drives are currently being driven.

The Brainport region must remain an attractive place to live, recreate and work. At the request of ASML, we have started an initiative together with the province of North Brabant to jointly work with employers to create new sustainable forms of transport for their employees. And thus reduce traffic jams.

The benefits of the BusinessLines

The BusinessLine is the first new and sustainable Collective Transport product with which we can reduce the pressure on the road network. The aim is not to hinder the growth of the region and to offer employees a sustainable alternative that is better for their vitality. The BusinessLine is aimed at employees who live too far away from the workplace to walk or cycle, for whom public transport does not offer a good connection and who are probably now in the car. Research by Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas) has made it clear where this potential lies. This has been translated into 3 routes to run a BusinessLine.

Share your opinion

Various test drives are carried out to learn and improve in co-creation with everyone involved. These provide a lot of insight into, among other things, route, stop location and stop area. A large-scale pilot will start as soon as we jointly feel that we have a good product. Would you like to take a test drive and share your opinion? Please let us know via Samen@brainportreachbaar.nl.
